Cheryl
Tonkin,
Landlady
of the
Mounts
Bay Inn.
|
|
|
| Cheryl Tonkin has been in the pub trade for over 15 years. She started her pub career at The Cornish Arms situated between Illogan and Redruth whilst still farming to bring in extra money. |
| |
| When Cheryl's family moved farms in 1996, she started working part-time at The Old Inn, Mullion. Then she permanently switched to the pub trade in 1997, taking up the position of assistant manager. |
| |
| She remained at the Old Inn until finally taking the plunge as a pub manager at The Chainlocker and Shipwrights in Falmouth in 2003. |
| |
| Two years later, she was approached by her landlord to take over the Mounts Bay Inn. She was delighted to be given this great opportunity to return to her home village of Mullion and it has been a fantastic challenge so far. |
